Growers Market

The growers market is held on the first Sunday of every month here at Avoca. I love to wander through and have a good look at what is on offer.

The produce always looks amazing from the crisp apples, fresh bread and cakes, organic coffee, vegetables and meat, herbs and plants, oils and dukkah and so much more.

It is something I must indulge in once a month!

I always end my visit with a brioche and coffee

The plants and vegetables beautiful and fresh, and advice freely given away ....

The people watching is pretty good too! Not a bad spot to enjoy your Sunday paper...

Although officially Autumn the temperatures are still hovering in the high 20's-low 30's. This siren below had the perfect spot to watch the surf, sun and sand. She looked like a mermaid on a rock, I had to capture her!

Now what would any of my post's be without the beach? These young guns were sizing up the swell before jumping in from the rocks

My gorgeous girls who (sometimes begrudgingly) accompany me to the markets. There is always the promise of a play in the park, swim at the beach or walk on the rocks.....

  1. Hi there fellow fitness follower of Collage of Life. The Growers Market looks like a great place to start a journey to wellness... swerving past the brioche stall in my case! And the beach, the beach!! Can't wait to hear how you go. Good luck. xx

  5. Lise...these are great photos and your daughters are adorable. I am very impressed that you got them all smiling...not an easy thing to do at that age. I love seeing the market...I lived in Farilight for years and miss so much about Sydney, Manly and the Northern Beaches. If I went to that fruit market I would buy a crate of mangoes and be in heaven. I would then get a large double flat white....park myself in a lovely spot and take in the sun and that wonderful fresh sea air!
    Heaven :)

  6. Everything looks so good at this market....and the weather makes me a little envious. Our daughter is in Australia and on her way to Bali today for a week. She is then supposed to be coming home but, I think that she could have trouble because of the ash !!
You girls look so sweet, sitting there.
Thanks for stopping by and leaving me a comment. XXXX

-Jeanne getting them all to smile simultaneously is a challenge alright! We actually moved from the Northern Beaches to Avoca. I lived all the way from Manly up to Newport...another beautiful part of this world
-Jacqueline, I'm sure your daughter won't complain about a few extra days in Bali! Yes (says the Mother) my girls are pretty cute. Love your blog.
